Blue October at Prairie Home Alliance Theater

Previously on The Wandering New Mexican:

During the last days of our stay in Cannon Beach, Brandy got the call that their head accountant was leaving in short order and Brandy and her colleagues would have to fly to San Diego to be trained on what he did and take over some of those responsibilities. This trip was scheduled for December 1-3. With tickets in hand for a Blue October concert in Peoria on the 4th, there were some logistics that needed to be worked out.

November 16-27, 2025

Brandy returned from the work trip that caused her to miss the November Blue October show on November 8.

Five days later, we were on the road again, driving across the country.

Blue October at Hoyt Sherman Place

In April, we bought tickets to see Blue October at Hoyt Sherman Place on November 2. After our Escape the Corn Sweat summer tour and our first international trip to see Blue October in Cabo, Brandy forgot and promptly booked a work trip to northern California, leaving November 1.

Never fear though, she suggested I take Sue, her mom.

So I did!

Less than six years after starting this blog, and wondering if I would ever even leave the state of New Mexico, Brandy and I found ourselves leaving the country for a four day all inclusive trip to Mexico to hang out with Blue October!

During the Summer of 2021, I watched a video from some wandering YouTubers I follow, Adam and Kathryn where they hiked the Wire Pass to Buckskin Gulch slot canyon trail in Kanab, Utah. So inspired, that’s when I became determined to visit southern Utah.
