February 21, 22, 23 The AirBnB where we stayed in Canon City was blocks from the Arkansas River. There is an 11 mile Riverwalk Trail alongside the river, some small sections of which we hiked during our stay in the city.
February 21 Another of the trails I saved in preparation for this trip was Redemption Trail. I read about this awesome slot canyon that I REALLY wanted to hike. I made it there, but alas, wasn’t able to hike it. Read on!
January 1 In my efforts to once more revamp my lifestyle, I took a New Year’s Day “hike” (though I use that term VERY loosely) on the Pickwick Riverwalk Path.
September 8-16 In what is now officially an annual tradition we made our return to Albuquerque and Walsenburg and I had the best trip yet.
August 5 When I started with UnityPoint Health in March of 2022, I mentioned I was an avid outdoors person. One of my tribemates mentioned I should try Maquoketa Caves. A year and a half later, we finally made the trip.
June 15 At the end of our trip to Crested Butte in June, we took a day trip to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.
Jun 10 – 17 For the first time since December of 2021, we took a trip to the Western Slope of Colorado.
May 27 – June 4 That’s right folks, we legitimately visited FOUR states on this trip. Not just passed through, but actually got out of the car and saw sights, shopped, and/or ate, all in a week!
