The checkout from the AirBnB near Cooperstown, NY, was by 9:00, by far the earliest checkout time I’ve ever dealt with. I knew it was only a three and a half hour drive to our next AirBnB in Vermont and check-in there wasn’t until 4:00 (pretty late check-in.) I did find stuff to do on the way- read on for more.

I have been a baseball fan since before I was born. Literally. I have a picture of my dad and my 8 month-pregnant mom at one of the games of the 1974 World Series between the Dodgers and the A’s. As a lifetime fan of baseball, it’s only fitting that my bucket list should contain a trip to the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

I specifically picked Hamburg, NY, for our second night after leaving Iowa thanks to its close proximity to our next stop, Niagara Falls. A short 30 minute drive from the Motel 6 would allow me to try to beat the holiday weekend crowd that was sure to be there.

The first stop after my brief stay in Iowa was in South Bend Indiana. I had no idea until I got there that South Bend was the home to one of the premiere universities in the United States.
Welcome back to part 2 of my report on our trip to Cannon Beach, Oregon, the second stop on the Greens Summer Tour.
Part two picks up right where part one left off, seeing us pick up on my Thursday after work adventure.
June 13 – 27
After our week-long visit to Gunnison, Colorado, and a brief three day visit to our home base in Ottumwa, the Greens Summer Tour of 2024 continued on with a trip to Cannon Beach, OR.
This part of the trip was so jam-packed with excitement that I’m going to break it into at least two blog posts. This is part one.
Welp, we’ve finally done it. We’ve finally committed to leaving the country!
May 31 – June 7
The Greens Summer Tour of 2024 started last week with our triumphant return to the Western Slope of Colorado. This will be part one of, like, 100 in the series.
