After two nights of terrible sleep, I finally got a full night of uninterrupted sleep. I woke up refreshed Friday morning so I decided to take Ash for a hike at Mammoth Cave National Park.

Brandy and I had briefly discussed swinging through Salem, Massachusetts, on our way from Maine to Kentucky. The plan was to leave Maine on Friday, August 24 and spend maybe an afternoon in Salem before moving on.

We took a ferry across the river between those two points.

Guys! I went tubing!

So we went there.
July 19
As we were less than an hour from Vermont’s border with New Hampshire, we decided to take a quick day trip to Hanover, home of Dartmouth College.
