Tinkertown and Burger Boy
April 18, 2021 While I didn’t get a hike in today, I still went back up to the area where I hiked yesterday to go back to one of the kitschiest museums you’d ever hope to visit: Tinkertown.
Santa Fe
March 27, 2021 Oops! I forgot to post a trip report from two weeks ago! Grrr…. While Brandy was out of town over the weekend of March 27-29, I decided to grab Jarrod and head north for a stop on the Green Chile Cheeseburger Trail. It turned into so much more though.
Carlsbad Caverns
March 12-14 There are 63 national parks in the United States and its territories and it took meeting Brandy to visit my first one (which was Mesa Verde National Park in southwestern Colorado last year.) This weekend, we visited my second, Carlsbad Caverns in Southeastern New Mexico.

I stopped by Outdoor Rec on Kirtland AFB to rent a fishing rod and reel Friday afternoon. I met Alan at the hospital where I work and we left from there. We headed north to Bernalillo and took a left before climbing highway 4 to Fenton Lake… to find it completely frozen over. D’OH!

Almont, CO
November 19-23 Brandy decided to treat me with an escape to Three Rivers Resort for my birthday a couple weeks ago.
Ruidoso, NM

Cripple Creek, CO
September 3 – 7, 2020 We took a trip through Colorado at the beginning of September, mainly looking for tiny towns where we might want to move to at a later time.
Taos, NM
August 29, 2020 Brandy and I woke up early on Saturday in anticipation of visiting the farmer’s markets in downtown Albuquerque and in Los Ranchos on Rio Grande Blvd. We got to the market downtown and it was PACKED. Way too many people for our taste, so we bypassed it and went straight to the […]
