About an hour north of Fredonia is one of Utah’s five National Parks- Zion. Home to such iconic sights as Angel’s Landing, The Narrows and Weeping Rock, I’m honored to be able to that that I have been able to visit and enjoy one of the most popular National Parks in the country.
I never thought a two-day trip from one of our stops to another would warrant its own post, but with all we saw in what should have been a five and a half hour drive… yeah, this will be a hell of a post.

After a quick week in Walsenburg, we made our way northwest, almost into Utah, to the town of Fruita, Colorado, just west of Grand Junction, for the next two weeks on our Escaping the Corn Sweat Summer 2025 Tour. But before we got there, we made a stop in nearby Rifle. Read on for more!

Crossing off another National Park off my list is always an exciting time. Arches National Park held a lot of promise and boy, did it not disappoint!
We didn’t really do much of anything in Walsenburg- we were there from Sunday to Sunday so we worked as per usual, but I took the day off Thursday for a trip north to Denver, and we spent our pre-departure day Saturday in a spiritual center in the state. Read on for more!
Considering we were in Gunnison for just over 36 hours, it was a hell of a stay!
Our first weekend in Salida was filled with adventure and activity! Lots of hiking, shopping and getting out of the cabin. Let’s read on, shall we?
